Who we are
Satranj is a chess game developed by Moonera. The public website is https://satranj.moonera.in. Privacy and support inquiries can be sent to official.moonera@gmail.com.
Information you provide
- Account information: username, display name, email address, and password during registration. Passwords are stored as password hashes rather than as plaintext.
- Player content: messages you send in game chats, friend requests, blocks, mutes, and reports you submit.
- Support correspondence: information you choose to include when contacting Moonera.
Information generated by gameplay
- Online match data: game moves, opponents, results, timers, match history, and ratings.
- Progress and virtual items: Satranj Coins balance and transaction history, cosmetic unlocks, achievements, daily rewards, and puzzle activity.
- Local device data: offline settings and offline game statistics may be saved using browser or in-app local storage. They are not the same as your online account data.
- Operational data: our hosting provider may process connection information (such as IP address, timestamps, and technical error/security logs) to deliver and protect the service.
How we use information
- To provide accounts, online chess, matchmaking, ratings, history, friends, and chat.
- To store Satranj Coins and cosmetic game progress and detect unfair activity.
- To prevent fraud, abuse, account takeover, spam, and security incidents.
- To answer support requests and review player reports.
- To operate and improve performance, availability, and game stability.
Data security
We use HTTPS connections for our website, password hashing, authenticated sessions, backend authorization, and abuse protections. No internet service is completely risk-free; do not share passwords, payment details, or sensitive personal information in game chat.
Retention and deletion
Online account and game data is generally retained while your account is active and as needed to operate the service. You can request account and associated data deletion through our Account Deletion page, including after uninstalling the game. We may need to verify ownership before acting, and may retain limited records only where required for legitimate security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or legal obligations. Backup copies, if present, are handled through normal backup lifecycle processes.

Children and community features
Satranj includes optional online multiplayer, player profiles, and player-to-player chat. These services can involve interactions with other users. Parents and guardians should supervise children’s use of online chat and review the Community Guidelines. Do not post private personal information in chats.
Your choices and contact
You can play offline without creating an online account. You may sign out, clear local app/browser data, report or block other players, and request account deletion. For privacy questions or corrections, contact official.moonera@gmail.com.
